Clinical Nurse Director, Women’s Mental Health
Amy Hopkins has dedicated her entire career to supporting women’s health. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at The University of New Hampshire in 1997 and her massage therapy license at The Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 2001.
Over the last 27 years, Amy has worked as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Massage Therapist, Yoga Teacher and Business Owner. Her nursing experience includes 13 years of perinatal nursing in community hospitals in New Hampshire, Colorado and Maine.
Amy is an entrepreneur, community leader and professional speaker.
In 2021, Amy created Saltwater Mountain Company - a business whose mission is to empower women, support mental health and build community. She leads seasonal retreats, year-round community experiences and professional talks - all highlighting the timely impact of deliberate cold exposure on women’s health.
Amy has a special interest in supporting women as they navigate midlife transitions. She is becoming a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner and is committed to echoing the current pioneering research, education and therapies surrounding perimenopause and menopause.
Amy specializes in creating safe spaces where women feel seen, heard and empowered. As Clinical Nurse Director of Women’s Mental Health at R.I.S.E., Amy’s responsibilities include program development, collaborating with community partners, connecting with new patients, providing in-person intakes at our York clinic, leading women’s groups, and helping women navigate their health journey forward.
