Genevieve Dubuque (Genni) is a Registered Nurse with over a decade of experience in nursing leadership, specializing in psychiatric care and substance use disorder treatment. As the Medication Management Nursing Director at R.I.S.E. Integrated Mental Health, she plays a pivotal role in supporting both patients and providers by ensuring the delivery of evidence-based, compassionate psychiatric care.
Genni holds two undergraduate degrees, demonstrating her dedication to both science and healthcare. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cellular, Molecular, and Biochemical Studies from Colby College, graduating cum laude, and later obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine, where she graduated summa cum laude.
Genni's career began in low-barrier substance use disorder treatment, where she worked in detox programs and provided direct field support to individuals experiencing homelessness. Her expertise and leadership abilities led her to the role of Nursing Director for a substance use disorder program, overseeing clinical care and treatment strategies. She later transitioned into academic detailing, delivering unbiased, evidence-based education to healthcare providers across Maine. Her work in this field empowered physicians and providers to optimize care for individuals with opioid use disorder, ensuring treatment approaches were free of commercial influence. Building on her extensive experience, Genni assumed a nursing leadership role with a national leader in opioid use disorder treatment. In this capacity, she spearheaded innovative pilot programs aimed at enhancing individualized mental health care and expanding services for high-risk patients.
Genni’s diverse background and unwavering commitment to patient-centered care have uniquely positioned her to lead the medication management division at R.I.S.E. Integrated Mental Health. She is deeply passionate about fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment where all patients receive compassionate, empathetic, and evidence-based psychiatric care. Her mission is to support individuals on their journey to improved mental health while ensuring providers have the tools and resources needed to deliver the highest standard of care.
