Madison Shalmo, LCPC-C, is a mental health counselor working towards full licensure under the supervision of the RISE Integrated Mental Health provider team, with completion in June 2026. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals navigating a range of mental health challenges. She holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College’s Lynch School of Education, where she developed a strong clinical foundation and commitment to patient-centered care. She brings extensive experience in conducting comprehensive assessments for patients with anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, and substance use disorders.
Throughout her clinical work, Madison has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, holistic care. She is passionate about helping patients develop practical skills for emotional regulation, resilience, and long-term recovery. Her approach is strengths-based and focused on empowering individuals to find purpose and meaning in their lives.
As a therapist, Madison is skilled in many therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Madison brings warmth, curiosity, and dedication to her work. She is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming space for all patients and looks forward to supporting individuals on their path toward improved mental health and well-being.
Madison is currently enrolling patients in group and individual therapies at R.I.S.E. Integrated Mental Health in York, Maine and via telehealth. She is able to accept patients with all major insurance carriers.
